Drama

In a school where creativity is treasured, we consider drama as fundamental to how pupils learn to express themselves. Drama provides a space for pupils to try new things, to fail safely, and crucially, to play. Fun is central to drama, and lessons will involve games that foster imaginative development.

All pupils have drama lessons and from Year 4, they are taught by a drama specialist. Emphasis is placed on collaborative working and performance skills so that students can both create ensembles and speak confidently in public as individuals.  Pupils are encouraged to respect one another and they thrive on taking pride in their performances.  LAMDA lessons and subsequent examinations are available for older pupils.

Each year pupils take part in a production which offers a much anticipated opportunity for the pupils to put their performance skills into practice.
