What we learn from one another

Our beliefs help shape who we are, influencing the way we think, act and understand the world around us. By exploring different faiths, traditions and worldviews, girls learn that while people may hold different beliefs, there is often much that connects us.

Through the study of a range of world religions, pupils develop an understanding of different beliefs, practices and celebrations. As they move through the school, they revisit key themes and ideas, building knowledge while learning to appreciate both the diversity and shared values found within communities around the world.

Religious Education is full of thoughtful questions. Why do people believe different things? How do beliefs influence the way people live? What values do communities share? Girls are encouraged to discuss, reflect and explore these ideas with curiosity, openness and respect, developing the confidence to consider different perspectives thoughtfully.

Learning is brought to life through links with subjects such as art, drama and philosophy, helping girls engage with big ideas in creative and meaningful ways. Through these experiences, pupils develop empathy, understanding and a deeper appreciation of the world around them.
