Parents

We believe girls thrive when school and home work closely together. Strong relationships between parents, pupils and staff help create the foundations for both academic success and personal wellbeing.

We encourage parents to play an active role in their daughter’s education and in the life of the school. Throughout the year there are many opportunities to meet with teachers, attend parent evenings, join weekly drop-ins and learn more about the curriculum through talks, workshops and academic forums. Parents are also regularly invited to assemblies, concerts, productions and other school events.

Our doors are always open. Whether it’s joining us for a coffee morning with the Head, visiting a classroom open morning or sharing professional expertise as part of our Special Studies programme, there are countless ways for parents to be involved in school life.

One of the highlights of the year is Around St Christopher’s, when families are invited into school to enjoy performances, explore a whole-school art exhibition and celebrate the girls’ learning through their work and achievements.

Our PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) plays a vital role in bringing the school community together. Through events such as the Summer Fair, Winter Fair, quiz nights, bake sales and the annual golf day, the PTFA creates opportunities for families to connect while raising funds to enrich the girls’ educational experience. Recent projects have included workshops with Shakespeare’s Globe, digital learning resources, visiting experiences and curriculum enrichment activities.
