From singing a classic Spanish folk song in music, to studying Monet’s life in art, language and culture are threaded through the curriculum and daily life at St Christopher’s.
Young linguists flourish with confidence, so building this underpins our approach. Pupils learn the mechanics of languages, developing the critical thinking skills needed to thrive at language studies in senior school. And we keep it fun – girls love regular role-play and creative ways of practicing speaking and listening.
Girls are taught Spanish by a modern languages specialist from Reception to Year 6, and Latin in Upper School. French is an ever-popular club, with Italian and Greek offered to certain year groups.
